“When you step out of your comfort zone, you are stepping into your greatness.”
Life gets crazy busy towards the end of the year, and sometimes planning shoots can be a mission with everything going on – especially underwater shoots! Our lovely outdoor pool is slightly weather temperamental, so when Joanne asked to use that pool, I was both super excited and nervous. And then we had the weirdest weather for spring – hail, cold fronts, rain, tornadoes – you name it! Eventually we realised we had to make use of our Lonehill pool which was thankfully indoors and wonderfully warm.
Joanne’s had a tough year – and after all she’s been through, she decided to treat herself to something totally different and out of character – an underwater shoot. She’s not crazy about water, but I know how much she values photos – and she also decided it was time to try something new! Well, she totally rocked this shoot – looking serene and calm while posing underwater is no easy task, but Joanne nailed it! With our many meters of fabric, we set to work creating some special images for her.
Thank you Joanne for braving the water and trusting me to create some unique for you! A big thank you to Emma for the gorgeous makeup and awesome assisting skills, and to Little Seahorses Swimming School for letting us use your lovely pool!
