We’ve never had to get up so early for a wedding – but it was oh so worth it! We arrived at Thornbird’s Wedding Venue at around 3:45am, and not even the birds were stirring, except for some owls hooting in the trees. But there was hustle and bustle happening in both Deone and Nico’s rooms as they got ready, even in the early hours! It was quite a treat to work with early morning light, such a lovely change from sunset, with everything fresh and dewy from the cool night. Their theme was nature and steampunk, and the decor was, well, breathtaking! Deone did lots of little details for the decor, and they turned ordinary items into amazing steampunk accessories to top off their look. Deone and Nico opted for an early ceremony, followed by an beautiful breakfast under the trees in the garden, and then fun giant garden games of ring toss, croquet and jenga! It was a beautiful, laid back and happy day, and we couldn’t have been more grateful to capture their special day!
Thank you to Deone and Nico for letting us work with you, you were both simply amazing and looked absolutely stunning! Thank you to Megan from Thornbirds for being so organised and helping things run smoothly on the day!
