When we met Margo and Sherwyn for our first meeting, their lively and energetic vibe was electric! They both have such bubbly and vibrant natures, and their ‘cool-cat’ style was evident when they said how much they love the city. We couldn’t wait to shoot their engagement session in Braamfontein, and have a bit of a walk around town. We were so very lucky with the weather too – it had threatened to rain, and the sun only stuck it’s head out once or twice during our shoot. But the beautiful cloudy skies gave us some awesome light, and it wasn’t too cold to be walking around the city. We met up at Kitchener’s Bar, took a walk over the Nelson Mandela Bridge, through Newtown and back home. We were lucky enough to grab a few shots at the old Carr Street train station, thanks to Sherwyn’s slick and charming style that convinced the ‘caretaker’ to let us have a few minutes there. Newtown has changed a lot, and the beautiful brightly coloured graffiti walls mixed with old buildings with aged paint (The Museum Africa was my favourite spot) made for some beautiful and unique backgrounds for their session.
Thank you Margo and Sherwyn for being so much fun to walk around with – and for surviving such a long walk while still looking stunning together! We hope you love your photos, and JP and I can’t wait for your wedding in September!
